SUCCESS!!Matthew Scarpati
Governor Paterson met with the Scarpati Family
on 10/22/09 and says a guard rail will be installed ASAP!! (APPROX. ON 05/01/10)

On July 20, 2009,

19 year old bicyclist
Matthew Scarpati was repairing his tire on the bike path that is located within feet of the Wantagh Parkway.
A drunken motorcyclist struck Matthew and he was
fatally wounded.

A guard rail could have
saved his life.
Thank you for your
help and support!!
