Long Island Game Farm
Open 4/1 (Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays) Starting 4/29, they're open every day except the Tuesdays of May 4, 11 & 18th

Offers families a natural environment where they can learn about wildlife and animals through education and entertainment. The Long Island Game Farm Wildlife and Children's Zoo features hundreds of animals, including an 18-foot giraffe, red kangaroos, kinkajous, cougars, Barbados sheep, peacocks, and the only lemurs ( read more here) Appropriate for all ages. Long Island Rabbit Show

They will compete in the Long Island Fair Exhibition Hall. $10 adults, $7 children 5-12 and senior citizens (60+) and volunteer firefighters; under 5-No Charge
Appropriate for all ages.

Junior Ranger Day

This ranger-led program under the tent at the Lighthouse lets kids complete the Jr. Ranger booklet and receive a special patch. Dress appropriately and please bring your own lunch.

SUCCESS!! Governor Paterson met with the Scarpati Family on 10/22/09 and says a guard rail will be installed ASAP!! (APPROX. ON 05/01/10)
On July 20, 2009, 19 year old bicyclist Matthew Scarpati was repairing his tire on the bike path that is located within feet of the Wantagh Parkway. A drunken motorcyclist struck Matthew and he was fatally wounded.
A guard rail could have
saved his life.
