THE LIVING ROOM

After releasing their self-titled debut album, The Shackeltons were named both "Breaking New Artist" (Rolling Stone) and "Best New Artist" (SPIN). In June, Right on Dynamite goes on a mini-tour with The Hold Steady. On May 17th , The Shackeltons and Right on Dynamite play Kidrockers at the Living Room.
This is the last show of the Spring Kidrockers season in NYC. Kidrockers might surprise with a fun summer outdoor show or two and will be back in the fall with some exciting events and full schedule. |

The Shackeltons
The Chambersburg, Pennsylvania based Shackeltons are a high energy rock and roll band led by literate, passionate frontman Mark Redding. The band was named a "Breaking New Artist" by Rolling Stone Magazine and "Best New Artist" by SPIN. Their self-titled debut (Loveless Records) received four stars in SPIN. "Scruffy, emotional indie boys you can actually believe in . . . . Palpable desperation is one of rock -n- rolls most valuable commodities, because it's impossible to fake. What makes bands like Pixies, Fugazi, and Les Savy Fav so exciting- and what makes the Shackeltons, from Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, similarly thrilling - is a breathlessness, a creeping sense that crouched behind the towering melodies and heard-'em before razor guitars (think Television, in addition to the aforementioned bands), there's complete breakdown. A half-dozen times on their debut, the Shackeltons sound completely convincing, and that's about six more times than most bands ever manage."

Right on Dynamite
Brooklyn trio Right on Dynamite make guitarpop fuelled by scrappy energy, sly wit, and catchy danceable hooks. The band was recently described by New York Magazine as "the party for now." In June, Right on Dynamite hits the road in support of fellow Brooklynites The Hold Steady.
