Tad Kubler (of The Hold Steady) + Friends

Tad

Tad Kubler plays lead guitar in The Hold Steady.  Rolling Stone Magazine called "Boys and Girls in America" one of the Top Ten albums of 2006 and the band was named Blender Magazine's 2006 "Band of The Year."  In November 2007, the band wrapped up a 16 month world tour in front of three thousand people at New York's Terminal 5.  Originally from Janesville, Wisconsin, Tad lives in Brooklyn where The Hold Steady is currently recording their new album.

Langhorne Slim and The War Eagles

Langhorne Slim and The War Eagles are leaders of an emerging sound that "offer a sardonic, modern take on traditional folk, country and blues." (S. Mason)  Like touring mates The Avett Brothers and Lucero, Langhorne brings the passion, grit and urgency of The Pogues and Velvets to old time roots music.  The band is about to release its much anticipated follow-up to their major label EP "Engine."  (V2, 2006)  Their song "The Electric Love Letter" can be heard in the highly acclaimed indie film "Waitress" (Fox Searchlight, 2007) starring Keri Russell.

154 Ludlow Street
The intimate music venue where Norah Jones played before she was a sensation eventually outgrew its tiny original space. The Living Room's new digs include a comfy upstairs lounge and, back behind the brown velvet curtains, a bigger but still intimate music space that looks enormous to those who remember the crush of chairs, tables, and bodies at the old Living Room. What hasn't changed is the music. Seven nights a week, a mixed crowd turns out for heartfelt, acoustic performances. (New York Magazine, Nightlife & Entertainment)
We hope to see you and your loves Sunday, February 10th at 1PM.
