The Subjects are described as "... teenage kicks delivered by actual teenagers: Two recent high school grads bash out joyously hormonal power pop behind a frontman who was recently their teacher. Like School of Rock with more Kinks albums on the syllabus." Spin |
Looker
"With one collective stiletto heel in the Brill Building circa 1963 and the other in what used to be CBGB...my first favorite racket of 2007." -David Fricke, 'Fricke's Picks', Rolling Stone, January 25th, 2007 "Sassy American rock & roll with low slung guitars and economically short power-pop riffs." -Steve Lamacq BBC1 radio

One Year Subscription to Time Out Kids included with Kidrockers ticket purchase Time Out Kids covers "the unique opportunities and challenges faced by urban families." Their editors "scope out all five boroughs to find the hot-button topics, new parenting trends, can't-miss events and kid-friendly cultural offerings, then put it together in a smart package that is entertaining, as well as practical and informative." The Living Room
154 Ludlow Street The intimate music venue where Norah Jones played before she was a sensation eventually outgrew its tiny original space. The Living Room's new digs include a comfy upstairs lounge and, back behind the brown velvet curtains, a bigger but still intimate music space that looks enormous to those who remember the crush of chairs, tables, and bodies at the old Living Room. What hasn't changed is the music. Seven nights a week, a mixed crowd turns out for heartfelt, acoustic performances. (New York Magazine, Nightlife & Entertainment) |
