At this year's Banquet, we'll have our own Pastor Tom Barber speaking on the Mission's accomplishments over the past year, especially the outstanding success of our Free Medical Clinic.

Something new for this year is that we will be honoring our 'Volunteer of the Year', 'Business Partner of the Year' and 'Medical Provider of the Year'.

We would love for you to come enjoy our Soup & Sandwich dinner with us. Tickets are just $10 each or $80 for a table.

Fright Hunger 2010

This Year's Fright Hunger Food Drive was a Raging Success!

We concluded the drive with 50 teams registered and 27,436 lbs of food collected!

Many teams worked hard and collected great amounts of food, but two schools really went above and beyond. We would like to give an honorable mention to the teams of Lincoln Southwest High School for collecting 5,837 lbs of food and Lincoln High for collecting 4,916 lbs!

Our First Place Prize went to the Waverly Vikings of Waverly Middle School, their one team raised 8,517 lbs of food! Amazing work!

The food drive ended with a Bash on Halloween night at the Lancaster Event Center, and we had a blast! Thank you to the Academy of Rock bands and to 211 for the great music, it really was a fantastic celebration of God's provision and the youth's hard work! What a blessing this has been to PCM and to those in need in our community!

Meet the Waverly Vikings

Waverly Winners

This small group of 16 kids is really something to take notice of. This fall, when they heard of our Fright Hunger Food Drive, they registered their team and enthusiastically caught the vision of the need in our community. In fact they immediately began gathering bags and going door to door in their community asking for food donations.

Night after night they went out to gather food, they gathered so much food that the house where they were storing it began to overflow, but that didn't stop them. They continued persevering and collecting relentlessly.  Their team alone collected over 2,000 lbs more than our entire 2009 Halloween Food Drive!

They collected 8,517 lbs of food for Lincoln's homeless and impoverished community. In fact, they not only raised that for PCM but they also collected 500 lbs of food for their local pantry in Waverly!

These youth are our future and they are a bright shining star in that future. At such a young age they have already embraced the important life lessons of caring for others and valuing the needs of others above your own, which unfortunately is all too rare these days. May the Lord grant that we might all learn to be so selfless and generous as to move in radical ways to change lives for the better.
