Please join the People's City Mission and Doug Lipp for the annual NE Leadership Conference.  We will listen as Doug reinforces leadership concepts through a combination of amusing, yet thought-provoking stories from his career at Disney and as a consultant to Fortune 100 corporations.  We will also have some great breakout speakers including Ron Hampton (Integrating Your Marketing Communications), Rich Claussen (Marketing Your Brand), Alan Slattery (Ethics in the Workplace) and Dr. Al Winseman (Living Your Strengths).
Your morning will include a Continental Breakfast and a Q & A with Doug Lipp.  Registration fee is $49.00 a person. Space is limited.  Registration forms can be printed and mailed in.

 Canned Food2009 Halloween Food Drive

The People's City Mission, whose mission is to feed and shelter the impoverished, while sharing the good news about Jesus Christ is planning its next big food campaign. The Mission collected 25 tons of food from the Dare 2 Share conference in February, however, since then we have been running at full capacity,  with over 350 guests being served daily. The food from the February collection is almost gone.

The Halloween Food Drive, which will take place on October 31st, is a collaboration between the Mission and area ministries, primarily youth groups, that go door to door collecting nonperishable food items.  The collected food is taken to the collection site at the Lancaster Event Center, where there will be fun games and a concert by VOTA band (formerly Casting Pearls).

To participate in the Halloween Food Drive, contact John Harris, Director of Church Relations, 475-1303, ext. 130 or by email:

quilt Christmas Quilts
We're sending out a big thank you to the First Lutheran Church of York for the quilts they have started to make for Christmas. Our friends at First Lutheran made quilts last year and each of our guests received their own quilt to take with them when they left. Thank you!
