Solar balance

The sun - giver of life, universal symbol of the source of All... One Sun...
One Sky... One Great Spirit... The collective whole.

Meeting some new friends from my old home town was
cause for reflection
contemplation.  I had a clearer picture of the
growth and personal development I have experienced in the past 10 years.
This is entirely a reflection of my community (the Moon
reflecting the Sun's light!).  It is because I am surrounded by
so many beautiful souls, who genuinely want me to
succeed in being the best person I be,
that I am able to grow.

You have given me strength, taught me integrity, and
guided my purpose.

My deepest gratitude to you all ~ In small interactions,
or years of friendship, you have touched me.

               Thank you.

Victoria updates

Reminder: there is still space available in the Monday night Doundoun Dance class with Marielle & Mohamed Duranteau.
Drum AND Dance!  Woohoo!

Love making music AND moving to it? In this class you don't have to choose. Play rhythms on the West African bass drum (doundoun) with sticks, while simultaneously carrying out dance moves! Even if you've never drummed or danced before, Mohamed makes it easy to follow. Treat yourself to a challenging new experience!

Mohamed Duranteau

Mohamed is the director of the DYNAMIC Wontanara performance group.  See EVENTS bar for Wontanara performances.

Monthly Challenge

How did the 10-day Green Smoothie Challenge go?  Interested in sharing your thoughts/insights?  Go to MoonDance's Facebook page and click on Discussions to see/contribute to a thread for each month's challenge.

Thank you.

October Challenge:
10 People That Changed my Life

Make a list of the 10 most influential people in your life.  Try for real life people you know, like Aunt Betty, rather than ideals, like Mother Teresa.
Jot down one or two sentences about how/why/what that impact was.

Try to think back throughout your life, as well as people presently in your world.

That's it!  Witness the journey you've been on.  Experience your gratitude.

If you want to take it one step further, call/email/write to those people and share with them your thanks for impact they had/have!

Food For Thought

Patience

The Practice of Patience

Patience is quiet hope and faith that things will turn out right.  We trust the process of life.  We do not allow ourselves to be overcome by pressure.  Patience helps us to endure things we cannot control with a peaceful heart.  We recognise the lessons that come through waiting, and receive them as gifts unfolding with Divine timing.  Patience brings acceptance.  It calls us to be still in the moment, to be restful, and to listen deeply.

"Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves. Do not now seek the answers, which cannot be given you because you would not be able to live them. And the point is to live everything. Live the questions"
- Rainer Maria Rilke

In your day, invite these thoughts:

I am hopeful and expectant.
I do not rush.
I am gentle with myself and others when we make mistakes.
I accept the things I cannot control with humour and grace.
I am confident that my life is unfolding as it should.
I live fully in the present moment.

I am thankful for the gift of Patience.
It helps me to keep my peace..
