The combined choirs of North and South High Schools performed a medley of songs. Joining the Governor were US Representatives Nita Lowey and Eliot Engel, Assemblyman Ken Zebrowski, Rockland Co. Chairwoman Harriet Cornell and County Supervisor Alex Gromack. "We are honored by Governor Paterson's visit. We truly appreciate all of the effort he has made to restore cuts to education and ultimately decrease taxes for our residents," said Dr. Keller-Cogan who attended the event. "This was a tremendous opportunity for our students to see legislative leaders and the political process in action," said Congers Principal Martha Ryan.
