Parenting Webinar

How to Parent Together:
Do Moms and Dads
Have to Agree?

Join us Thursday May 17,2012 from 1 PM to 2PM ET as Sandra R. Wolkoff, LCSW-R looks at the costs and benefits of parenting together even when you and you partner think apart.

Parenting together is not easy and while we have all heard about how both parents need to be a united front, sometimes that just doesn't happen. Parents can have different styles, values and most importantly, beliefs, about how children should behave. This webinar will present ideas on how to make it work and maintain peace.

To register, click here.  If you have any difficulties registering,  e-mail  Lisa Kaplan-Miller or call 877-939- 6667 ext 106.

Webinars are free to NAMC and Mothers' Center members.  Non-member fee is $20.  Join the NAMC for $35 and get a year's worth of webinars for free.

Research: What Makes You Feel Effective as a Mother?

You're invited to participate in a study aimed at identifying experiences that contribute to how effective mothers feel about their parenting. The project focuses on mothers of school-age children, including mothers of children with a developmental disability.

Please consider participating in this on-line research study to explore this topic. The survey will take about 40 to 45 minutes to complete and  participants will have the option to be entered in a drawing to win one of three $100 gift cards.

You can complete the questionnaire here.

Eligibility:  (1) You are a female caregiver of a child from the ages of 6-years-old to 11-years-old; (2) Your child is also in the 5th grade, or below.  Feel free to e-mail the principle investigator, Sara Rosenblum-Fishman for more information, or call her at 617-971-8353.
