 Occupy Cultural Media Event
Occupy Cultural Media, a New Moon Girls affiliate, is a grass roots organization that serves to protect children from the hypersexualization and objectification of women and children in the media. They also seek to shield children from adult subject matter marketed to them in the mass media and public spaces through open national conversation.
For our N.Y. metro area readers, Occupy Cultural Media is hosting an event on Saturday, April 21, 2012 in Chelsea Park, NYC to discuss the damaging effects of the early sexualization of children and how to solve this problem through: petitions, education, outreach, power of social media and public gathering. Visit their website for more information.
You can learn more about Occupy Cultural Media and the event on Homegrown Radio NJ on Friday, April 13th. They'll be doing a Q&A session from 1:30 to 3:30pm.
