The conference season is upon us, and with it come exciting events and opportunities.  On Saturday, October 13, the Michigan Translators Interpreters Network (MiTiN) will be holding its annual conference in Novi, MI.

Attending the MiTiN conference will be of great benefit to both aspiring and professional interpreters and translators, and those who use interpreting and translation services.  In addition, those attending the conference will be able to earn CEUs and participate in training seminars, and  professional development activities.  Attendees will also have an opportunity to mingle with freelancers, project managers, and language service providers.

This year's MiTiN conference will have keynote speakers Harry Obst and Nataly Kelly.  Mr. Obst was an interpreter for seven U.S. presidents and is author of the book White House Interpreter: The Art of Interpretation.  Ms. Kelly is an author, translator, interpreter, and Chief Research Officer at Common Sense Advisory.  She has co-authored a book with Jost Zetzsche entitled Found in Translation. It is available in many countries around the globe. Both featured presenters will have book signings at the conference.

Of course, Interpreter Education Online will be in attendance as well.  CEO Jinny Bromberg will be delivering a presentation on video remote interpreting (VRI).  Jinny will also be taking part in a panel to discuss the state of the language industry.

As you can see, there are many reasons to attend the MiTiN conference.  Make sure to stop by IEO's booth and say hello and take advantage of our conference discount!
