Beating those 'Back to School' Stresses

Hopefully, you are well on your way to having everything cleaned, ironed, polished and packed for that first day back.  But if you're not, don't worry.  For most of us, despite our best efforts not to leave the 'back to school' preparations to the last minute, invariably there always seems to be something that didn't get bought or a garment that didn't get a name tag.  Here's some handy hints to beat those back to school stresses:
  • Make sure PE kits and school bags are packed and ready to go.
  • Put school uniform out so it's ready to put on the next day
  • Polish shoes
  • If they have packed lunch, make it th enight before and put it in the fridge or if they have school dinner, put the money in their school bag
  • Fill water bottles and put them into school bags.
  • Make sure their waterproof, hat and sun cream are at hand.
  • Finally, the night before have an early tea forllowed by a bath with the dreaded hair wash and an early night for everyone so you're bright and breezy for the morning - and don't forget to set the alarm!
Mum under pressure?
Cheese and Tomato Frittata

Another super recipe from Mums About Food that ticks all the boxes - it's quick to prepare, nutritious and the kids will love it!  The cheese and tomato frittata is topped with yummy goat's cheese and baby tomatoes but you could top it with anything - potatoes, peas, mushrooms - you name it!  So it's also great for using up the leftovers.

Well, if your children haven't already gone back to school, good luck with the first morning back and here's to us all being 'organised mums' in the school year ahead.

Yours sincerely
