January 1st is quickly approaching.  You may already know this but, if not, January 1st is one of the two biggest renewal days for clients' Business, Workers' Compensation and Non Profit policies.  In case you're wondering, the other big renewal day is July 1st.  We'll be sure to remind you then, too. 

In this issue, we're going to get right to what we're seeing a lot of in our commercial department at this very moment.  October was one of the biggest months that we've had in over eight years so we thought that it would be good to share with you the products and classes that we are doing very well right now. 

If you're wondering how to generate these leads, I challenge you to step outside your office right now or look around during your commute to and from work.  Chances are we will write most of the business that you see all around you, every day.  For example, do you have a bridal shop near you?  We would write that.  You could also ask that they refer their clients to you for special events coverage to insure their wedding for only $360.  The same would go for a banquet hall or restaurant.  You could not only insure that risk but get them to refer you all of their events, too.  Do you drop your kids off at day care or another type of residential or commercial childcare facility?  You may not realize it yet but we are one of the best markets for that type of insurance.  Ask your childcare provider who they are insured with and how much they pay.  I'm sure we can offer more coverage at a lower rate.
