Thao was super excited about [our gifts of chocolate chips] and is doing well. She is still operating the Sozo bakery with the support of two supervisors who are doing a wonderful job. They are taking on more responsibility and are now running Sozo with minimal supervision from the foreign team.
Two students have come to know the Lord and are now teaching the Alpha course to the staff! ...
My friend Ben and I were able to deliver other items that were donated to a few orphanages. They were grateful for what we were able to bring them. Each orphan gets the chance to learn English, go to school and is taught about God...

Cambodian Missionaries
|
We were able to meet a missionary couple, Nhut and Oneka, that are reaching out to the locals in Vietnam. They live in Cambodia, but travel to Vietnam and the surrounding countries to recruit people to take 8 months out of their lives to attend a Bible college in the Philippines.
Nhut grew up in a Buddhist family so when he became a Christian he faced persecution from his family... Nhut stood firm in his belief in Jesus and continued to show love to his family even though they disowned him. Over time his family began to notice the change in him. When his mother and father saw this, their hearts softened and they began to treat Nhut with respect even though they still served Buddha. Nhut is now able to go to his parent's house and is welcomed with open arms. He has begun to speak more about Jesus to his family.

I am excited to share that Thu, the Vietnamese girl I was teaching English and Bible to, will be joining Nhut and Oneka at the Bible college in June!
This is a huge step for Thu to leave Vietnam to go study!...
