Greetings from Down Under! Great things are happening here and we are excited to share them with you! Since pioneering the church here, we have developed a core group of faithful people, who love God, desire to serve in the church, and are a huge blessing to us. As you know, we jointly pastor the church, with Pastors Bill and Corrie Page, who are wonderful leaders with a great love for God, and for people. Also, we now have a ministry of helps. Church members are working as greeters, hospitality servers, and praise and worship team members. God has blessed Cairns with a Full-Gospel preaching, Holy Spirit filled, church!

While 2010 was a year of transition and getting established here in Cairns, our focus in 2011 is outreach! It's time to fill the church!

God has been working on our behalf to connect us with other Pastors who have a heart to reach the lost in Cairns, particularly within the Indigenous communities. As a result, we have been gifted with a weekly outreach that will give us an open door into a large Indigenous community here. It is a suburb called Mooroobool. Another denomination had previously been doing a weekly children's outreach there on Sunday afternoons, with as many as 50 children in attendance. Due to leadership schedules, they have not been able to continue this outreach and have asked us to take it over with their full support. We are very excited about this! We know God is in it and there are limitless possibilities to come of this outreach! We start on March 6th, please be praying about this weekly outreach. SOULS! SIGNS! HEALINGS! MIRACLES!

 

WestCourt Children's Outreach  

 We recently held another children's outreach, this time in Westcourt, another suburb of Cairns. This is an area where many children are living with alcoholic parents and the children are roaming the area at will. They were slow to come to the outreach and we almost packed up. However, they started to drift in and we had a wonderful event with 9 children receiving Jesus! (Pictured praying with Rachel)

We will continue to have these outreaches as the Holy Spirit leads us. When we arrived in Cairns, one of the things we were repeatedly told by Australian church leadership, as we shared our vision, was that outreaches don't work in Australia. Yet, we have had over 60 children receive Jesus through these events! Praise God!!!

Assignment Australia  

 We have a wonderful opportunity to rock the city of Cairns and surrounding areas for Jesus! In two weeks time, March 12th-20th, we have a team of on-fire-for-God, Holy-Spirit filled, lost-lovin' believers, coming to Cairns to work with us for a week of evangelistic ministry!!! The team consists of nine members of our home church in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The team includes, Pastor April Doeden, the children's Pastor, and several of the children's ministry team workers, as well as two young ladies who are junior children's ministry leaders. (Pictured)

We have arranged to hold four children's outreaches, and two street ministry events for this week. Also, the team will be ministering in our normally scheduled outreaches at the nursing home, hospital and homeless shelter. Please be praying for this week of outreach! Please be praying for the weather, most of these events are outside and it is the wet season here in the tropics. Please pray for health for everyone involved. Most of all, please be praying with us that God works through us in mighty ways! We are asking for many souls, healings and miracles from God! Check out next month's newsletter for a great report!
