G'Day! We have much to share with you this month. God is so faithful! It is such a privilege to walk out what He placed in our hearts years ago and to see His plan come to be is a testimony of His love and grace. There are so many good things happening in all areas of the ministry, we have picked a few to share with you to give you an overall view of what God is doing.

The church continues to grow as we have new visitors every week. Since the last article we have had three new people receive Jesus in our services. Actually, are congregation is mostly new believers! Praise God! We have purposed from the beginning to seek and save the lost. As a result, we will be having our first Water Baptism service on November 13th! We are very excited about that!

1 Peter 2:2 says, "As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word that you may grow thereby." One of our greatest joys is watching those who are new to the Kingdom of God, begin to grow up spiritually. Most of the people we work with have no religious background at all. This makes it easy for them to receive the Word and believe it. As a result, their faith is simple and uncomplicated. We want to share some testimonies of what God is doing in the lives of our new believers.

main article picWendy is 21 years old and a new Christian. She is Aboriginal and lives in a homeless shelter with her mother. She comes to church faithfully, even though it often means being teased and taunted by the others at the shelter. She knows God loves her and she wants to know Him more. Wendy faithfully reads the Bible we gave her. In fact, she sleeps with it because in her words; "They steal around here, and they can take what they want from me but they can't have my Bible." Last week Wendy's mother (pictured above together) was in the hospital having two operations. Wendy prayed for her mother and she immediately began to get better, the doctors released her after four days when they had originally told her she would be there up to several weeks to deal with the infection. God is good! He responds to faith!

Doug is a young man we met staying in a homeless shelter. He had been out of work for several months. He received Jesus, began coming to church and bringing others with him. One Sunday, he determined before church that he would put some money in the offering, and then have enough for a Coke after church. This was all the money he had. During offering, he heard God speak to him and tell him that if he would give God what he had, that God would take care of him. He responded by giving all he had in his pocket. The next morning, he got a response from a job he had applied for months ago. They were not only offering him the job but were going to double his pay because they needed him right away!! Hallelujah! That is the God we serve! He is Jehovah Jireh!

These are just a couple of many testimonies we could give you. God desires to show Himself to people. He only needs the opportunity and permission to work in their life. Another young man from the homeless shelter got saved, started coming to church, and God made a way for him to get his own apartment and had job opportunities. Another young man got saved, started coming to church and God restored his family relationships which had been lost prior to that. The bottom line is that God loves these people just like He loves you. We encourage you to look for those who seem "unlovable" and be willing to be the one who gives them the answer they so desperately need - Jesus! Serving God is a privilege not a price and we are thankful to be used of God. Thank you to all of you who have a part in this through prayer or financial giving.

God Bless You!

Kids Corner

powerpointSince coming to Australia, Hannah, Matthew and I have been involved in every part of the church services and outreaches. On Sundays, Hannah and I greet people coming in.  Sometimes I create the PowerPoint for the worship service, and then operate it during service. We are busy behind the scenes with set up and packing up; though occasionally we have helped with illustrating the preaching and Hannah has read from Psalms for the church.

worshipIn our children's church, Hannah and I do praise and worship, as well as stay in to help with the craft, snacks and such.

As for outreaches, all three of us go to Diji Meta, the elderly Aboriginal home, and to Yarrabah, the Aboriginal community. At Diji Meta I play guitar while Hannah and Mom sing. Matthew always takes a book to read to the residents or some of his cars or latest superhero toy to show them. We also make little readingcrafts for them that remind them that Jesus loves them.

The residents are always happy to see us and give us hugs! The place really pulls on your heartstrings.  The same is true for Yarrabah. In both children's outreaches we've done there, I face paint, Hannah does registration and Matthew helps with prize give-aways.

craftsIt's always so exciting to see people get saved and that much more exciting when you know you had a part in their salvation!  It's truly amazing to see all these things that we have prayed out for so long start to happen! To be used by God to reach the lost and hurting of Australia is a feeling that cannot be expressed in words. I thank God for opportunities to reach others. Thank You for helping us to do this!

Christmas Outreach

We need your help......

boyIn December, we will be doing a Children's Christmas Outreach to a low income area of Cairns. This outreach is predominately to the indigenous children. The outreach will be "Christmas" themed and will feature the telling of the birth of Jesus - God's gift to the World. Following the outreach, we will be giving each child a wrapped toy. Most of these children will be hearing the gospel for the first time. They will be hearing the true meaning of Christmas for the first time. girlsWe want to show them God's love in a tangible way. If you want to be involved in giving to this event, please give through the regular channel and then send us an email detailing the amount you have donated for the event. Also, please be praying for this event over the next month. We want to make a great impact in this area for Christ!

Thank you!
