Yarrabah Outreach
Our first outreach to
Yarrabah was a great success! The day was beautiful, the music was pumping and
the bright colored balloons drew the children from all directions! Many of the
locals came and stood to the outskirts but were drawn closer by their
curiosity. Our whole family was involved with everything from the registration
for prizes, to music, preaching, and games.
We had about 70 children come out
and 22 children received Jesus as their
Savior! We also had two mothers who
gave their lives to the Lord! This was what the whole day was about and we
are rejoicing that God's Kingdom is growing and includes people of these three
tribes of people in Yarrabah!

We are continuing to do outreaches into this
community as the Lord leads. Thank you to everyone who was praying for this
event and a big thank you to the Page Family for coming and working with us for
this event. Keep praying for the people of Yarrabah!

"...They shall lay hands on the sick and they shall
recover." Mark 16:18
|
On July 4th,
Stephen was asked to preach in a Uniting Church in the tablelands about an hour
from where we live. He was specifically asked to preach on healing as so many
of the congregation has health issues. After preaching that it is God's will to
heal, he had a prayer line with about 25 people coming forward. Everyone was
ready to receive and felt that they got what they came for! There were several
immediate healings which included a hernia the size of a man's fist, that
shrank under Stephen's hand as he laid hands on a man. Also, there was a young
man with a degenerative condition that caused a film to cover his eyes. He said
he was only able to see a couple feet in front of him. After Stephen prayed for
him, he could see clearly for a distance! Praise God! A few days after the
meeting, we received a report about a man who Stephen prayed for, who had
cancer in his back and in his lungs. He had been to the doctor who was shocked
and declared the man CANCER FREE!!!Hallelujah! Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever! He is still
working miracles today!!

| Night Shelter for Indigenous Homeless |
"The Spirit of the Lord is
upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor, He has
sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, ..." Luke 4:18
Throughout His earthly
ministry, Jesus was drawn to the lost, hurting and sick of this world. Since
coming to Cairns, we knew this would be a large part of our ministry. Our first
two months were mostly spent in prayer for the unsaved and broken-hearted of
this region. Over the past few weeks, God has opened doors of opportunity into
key areas where the desperate and the hopeless abound.
Shelter for Homeless Youth 75% of All Area Homeless are Indigenous Youth

We are going into three
homeless shelters weekly as well as a nursing home for the Indigenous people of
the area, and God has given us favor with the head of the hospital clergy. Daily, we are ministering to abuse victims,
men and women who are homeless due to financial circumstances, and those with
drug and alcohol addictions that rule their lives.
Nursing Home for Indigenous Elderly

These people are desperate
to know that there is a God who loves them and can help them overcome in life. Rachel led a young, pregnant, Aboriginal
woman to the Lord who was laughing and weeping at the same time as she
exclaimed "I'm different!" Glory to God!

Personal Note
|
We are so honored with all the work God has called us to. We have the
privilege of meeting and helping incredible people every week. There is much
work to do as there is a great harvest waiting to be reaped in this area.
Together we can impact this region and as a result, this country for Christ!
Thank you for your continued support for this ministry! You are an important
part! Please be praying for us as we
join Pastors Bill and Corrie Page from Papua New Guinea in pioneering Living
Light Gospel Church here in Cairns! More
details about the church will be in our coming newsletter!
God bless you and keep you!
Stephen and Rachel
