Honduras GeoReach

Greetings!

A few weeks ago this five-man  , GeoReach building team embarked on a ten-day journey into a remote region of Honduras. The team, along with a few Honduran men, pioneered a church plant; providing the materials and labor to build a church and then opened it for it's first service, all in a matter of days!

To The Ends of the Earth

The church was needed in a remote area where there are no towns nearby with electricity, running water or bathroom facilities. Aaron remarked, "We went to the ends of the earth,
and then fifty miles further in a 4-wheel drive!" To say the least, it was a rugged journey in getting there. The guys traveled with their own tents and gear, used an outhouse and boiled their drinking water.

Special thanks to Continental Construction Inc., Aaron and Julie Wilson and Legacy Church in Alb., N.M., for partnering with GeoBound Ministries in this church plant in Honduras. We would also like to say thank you to Todd Maire for his help in raising finances for this project!
The Jesus Film

Before the concrete floor had a chance to finish drying, nearly 150 people from the region began walking down the mountainous paths in order to attend the first service in their new church. "The Jesus Film" was presented to the crowd for the first time, thanks to a gas-powered generator, sound system, lap-top computer and a film projector. (There are
no TVs in the area and barely any radio signals.)

The people watched intently as the story of Jesus' life, ministry, death, burial and resurrection was told in their native Spanish language. The evening ended with a few responding to the salvation message; a real joy to see
among such a reserved culture.
Journey Home

The journey home took on an expedition of its own. They traveled on horse-back, in a banana boat, hiking on foot, riding in the back of a couple of trucks, in a van, a big
yellow school bus and several airplanes.

What should have taken only one and a half days, took four days travel. Through rain, many mechanical break-downs, waiting for transportation and an impending storm in the States, they eventually made it home. Rod continues to live by his mission's motto,    "Learn to be flexible and fluid in every situation."

Many have requested a desire to partner with GeoBound through electronic giving and we are now able to provide electronic funds transfer as a mode of monthly giving. After diligent research of several electronic funds programs, we have chosen the Egiving Systems program. This program has 17 years of successful electronic funds transfer (EFT) marketing in private business with the processing services of CheckFree Corporation. America's largest payment processor. It is a licensed partner of CheckFree.

Egiving Systems is mission driven to strengthen the finances of organizations, like GeoBound which are dedicated to the cause of Christ through the use of electronic funds transfer (EFT) tools. Egiving Systems has experienced ten years of flawless service with CheckFree.

We have decided to step into the 21st century and knowledgeably adopt a new method of technology to better equip us in our missions ministry. We invite you to become an e-giver with GeoBound.

Indigenous Missionaries of India

indeginous missionaries

Indigenous missionaries have taken the place of foreign missionaries. They preach the Gospel of Christ, win souls, plant churches and train disciples.

Native missionaries are much more effective than those from foreign countries because they already know the language and understand the customs of their people.

Today, more than 90% of pioneer missionary work among unreached peoples in unevangelized countries is carried on by indigenous missionaries. Yet they receive less than 10% of all the support given for missionaries by God's people throughout the world.

GeoBound seeks to give U.S. Christians the opportunity to support indigenous missionaries. Help us support these Indian missionaries.

Church and Bible school startup cost: $700.00

Monthly missionary support of $150.00 includes: building rental (Church & Bible School), indigenous missionary's personal support, motorcycle lease and outreach finances to the surrounding villages.

Literally, one sponsor can support a whole church work for $150.00 per month.

Please consider becoming an e-giving partner. Thank you for your prayerful consideration.
