 Really Helps!
Parent HelpLine Logo
Parent HelpLine is a great way to celebrate Parent Education Awareness Week. Callers talk to a Birth To Three parent educator. The call is free and confidential. Spread the word to other parents!  Parent HelpLine provides support and information, including referrals to local organizations. We're focused on ages birth-8. This United Way/Success By 6 initiative is located at Birth To Three. Call Sunday-Friday, 9-4, at
541-485-5211
(toll-free in Lane County:
1-888-485-5211).
Your Gift Matters
Birth To Three receives grants from foundations and companies like Target, which gave us $2,400 to buy children's books that are distributed to Healthy Start/Healthy Families participants. We also welcome donations from individuals. We were honored when 4-year-old Nikko, son of a Birth To Three staffer, chose to give his $6.23 of savings to us. He asked that we buy pencils - black pencils - for children. Those pencils have been given to families in our Make Parenting A Pleasure groups. Anyone wishing to donate to our general services or specific needs is invited to call or e-mail us or donate through our website. Thanks, Nikko and everyone else, for supporting families.

Greetings!

Spring! The blooming flowers remind us that children blossom, too, when families thrive. Next week, we'll celebrate Parent Education Awareness Week. We're proud to be here to grow our 'community garden' of loving, skilled parents, whatever the season.
Birth To Three Groups Provide Education and Support During and After They Meet
While Birth To Three groups officially end when the curriculum has been completed, some groups continue to get together. In honor of Parent Education Awareness Week, here are
stories about long-time groups as well as the tale of how far one couple will go to stay with their current group.
Is It "Baby Blues" or Depression?
Depression or anxiety affects 10%-20% of pregnant women and new moms. While 'baby blues' is a normal part of the postpartum experience, depression affects mom, dad, adoptive parents, the baby and the rest of the family.
Birth To Three is proud to provide space for a WellMama  pregnancy and postpartum stress support group. It meets every Tuesday morning at our facility. WellMama also offers an evening group in Eugene and groups in Corvallis. The groups are free.
