A Summer Sabbatical Blessing "Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop away from you like the leaves of Autumn." JOHN MUIR, 1903 |

Strong arms carried the tablets
Down the mountain
To the murmuring masses;
Ten words from God to remind
The seventy times seven
That God lived in the love
Of their hearts, and minds and souls.
Not long after; they built a tomb,
To carry the bones of Truth
And shield them from the enemy...

Twilight Camp for Kids
June 24th, 4:30-8pm
Sign up now for the first of our three Friday Evening Twilight Camps. Our theme will be "Make a Joyful Noise" and Ann Strickland will be there helping us do just that. The children will make their own musical instruments, hear stories, sing songs, play outside and enjoy a cookout dinner. After dinner there will be a campfire and marshmallows to roast. Twilight Camp is for children who have completed one year of preschool through rising fourth graders. Rising fifth graders and above are welcome to join us as camp counselors.
Cost for Twilight Camp is $10 per child for each Friday evening ($30 for all three evenings) and can be paid in advance or at drop off. You can sign up now for all three (June 24, July 29, August 26) or one at a time as you know your schedule. Enrich your Grace Experience-
Volunteer at the Welcome Table
We have a loyal group of volunteers who staff our Welcome Table each week, and we are grateful!
We could use a few more volunteers however, and welcome anyone to sign-up to serve for a Sunday, especially during the summer months of July, August, and September. I hope to see couples, families, singles male and female, newcomers and oldtimers alike, working at the Welcome Table, because I know from experience how rewarding it is to do so! It is also the perfect thing to do if you want to volunteer at Grace, but don't have a lot of time
to spare.
I am beginning to make the schedule for July, August, and September, so take a look at your calendars, and let me know if you'd like to participate. Then, watch for your invitation to a Welcome Table social hour for all Welcome Table volunteers.
If you are interested in helping at the welcome table, please drop by the welcome table and let us know which Sunday(s) work best for you. You can also contact me by email at:

Thank you!

Calling all Grace Poets
On the evening of August 20 there is going to be a special event at Grace called "Celebrating Trees." This creative evening emerged from the inspiration of four women artists who call themselves Trees in Art, and who will be exhibiting their tree paintings at Grace during August and September. There will be a reception for the artists and a performance by noted electric and acoustic cellist, Jami Sieber (see www.jamisieber.com) Jami's improvisational style is perfect for a "conversation" between her ethereal sounds and poetry with some tree imagery.
So, charge up those creative juices, go spend some time with trees and then email your poem to Marcy at mlagerloef@seanet.com by June 30. If you can be there on August 20 to read your work, so much the better. If there is more poetry submitted than time for reading in that evening, we will find a pathway to put your creative thoughts out there for others at Grace to read and savor during these two months when we will be surrounded by trees in the Grace Gallery.
