Yes! It's been a couple of years since we've had a ski/ride weekend as a group--so here go!
It's really simple: we leave Grace on Friday, January 28th, right after finals. We ski/ride both Saturday and Sunday at Crystal. We'll be staying at Buck Creek Lodge, a rustic Camp and Conference Center 15 minutes from the ski area. We'll get breakfast there on Saturday and Sunday, and dinner Saturday night. We'll be back on the Island Sunday night, worn out, happy, with stories to tell.
The cost for all this fun? 75 bucks gets you a bed to sleep on, transportation, 3 meals at Buck Creek. Lift ticket prices are 55/day. But we can get that reduced to 48 bucks if we get 15 ticket buyers. And yes, some spending money will be needed for lunch on the mountain both Saturday and Sunday.
Who Can Go
Originally the trip was planned for and open to Juniors and Seniors, but now it's open to everyone in the Alive and Well Gang. Yippee! Of course space is limited, so if you would like to go please bring the permission slip (below) and $75 to Alive and Well this Thursday to hold your spot. Or drop it by Grace anytime tomorrow. If we are over-subscribed then we will do a random drawing.
These trips are always fun, for all the obvious reasons. And they also give us a chance to build some deeper friendships in a smaller group. It's hard to put a limit on numbers, but the logistics taking 30-40 kids make it hard not to. So, get those permission slips and deposits in!
