Coming up for Kids

A Field Trip to the Convention, Saturday, October 30th

Grace Church is growing up. This Saturday at the Diocesan Convention we will be formally accepted as a Parish. I would love to take a group of children on a little field trip to celebrate this milestone in our history. We'll take the 11:30 ferry and enjoy lunch together and a special treat. While at the convention the children will get to see a short movie about Grace. If your child(ren) are interested in coming, email Debbie Rimkus to reserve a space and receive the details.

A Special Liturgy and Trick or Treating, Sunday, October 31st

This Sunday children will be in worship as we experience a special All Hallow's Eve Liturgy. Kids are encouraged to come in costume and trick-or-treat with Bill and Arienne. (Parents - No weapons or violent masks please.)

All Saint's Sunday, November 7th

Although this is First Sunday, the children will start the service in the Godly Play classrooms working on their lanterns for the St. Martin's service. The children will then join in worship as we celebrate a baptism and take some time to remember those we love and see no more. Children are also invited to bring a small token or photograph of a loved one they see no more. These will be gathered on the altar and blessed.

St. Martin's Service, Sunday, November 14th, 6pm

The children are spending a couple of Sundays creating beautiful lanterns that will be used during our lantern walk. Plan now to attend and give yourself the gift of this quiet, peaceful candlelit service that makes us stop for a moment and appreciate all that we have. After the service children can pick a lantern to take home and keep.
