Celebrating the Life of Hannah Hunt Sunday, September 12, 6 pm at Grace
Hannah recently asked her Mom "will there be cake at my celebration?" Reba, a bit unsure of the question, asked "what celebration." "The one at Grace," Hannah said--clearly giving meaning and direction to what we all might do when we would gather to mark both her death and resurrection. And so, we will celebrate her life, and indeed there will be cake. As Hannah also said, and her Dad relayed to me, "chocolate is good for the soul."
The service and celebration will be on Sunday, September 12th, 6 pm. At Grace. We will gather in the Sanctuary, overflowing into what ever space we can find, sitting, standing, singing, praying--and celebrating the full life she lived. And then we will eat cake and remember, cry, laugh--and support each other. We know that Grace will be full, and over-full--and together we will lean on each other, and on God's love for us, and her.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Hannah's memory may be made to the Olson Lab Research Fund at Seattle Childrens Hospital, PO Box 5371, Seattle, WA 98145 or seattlechildrens.org.

Godly Play/Godly Journey
Our Sunday Children's Programs start back up beginning a week from this Sunday on September 12. , Our Grace Church's Sunday morning programs, Godly Play and Godly Journey, are for children who are in preschool through 6th grade. They are multiage, multisensory programs which deepen our children's understanding of God and faith. The lessons are stories from the bible, told in a quiet, thoughtful way with simple materials and figurines. Godly Play and Godly Journey are held each Sunday during the 9:30 service, except for the first Sunday of each month, when children are encouraged to worship with their families. If your family is new to our Sunday morning children's programs, please register them by using the registration form found on the Grace website. We look forward to seeing everyone next week!
Volunteering in the Classrooms Godly Play is a beautiful program with all the lessons and materials prepared and provided for volunteers. It offers a wonderful opportunity to connect with the children in our community. By volunteering in Godly Play you will learn more than you teach and receive more than you give. Volunteers help with art, snack, and storytelling. The materials are prepared for you and easy to use. Parents and grandparents, those with grown children and those who never had children all make wonderful volunteers. Click Here To Volunteer in Godly Play or Godly Journey
