The Happy Toy Maker

What do you do when a request to Santa is for something the big toy stores don't sell? You make it yourself and that's exactly what Jerry Sims did many years ago when his two young boys asked for miniature farm equipment for Christmas. The toys Jerry found were nothing more than lightweight plastic he knew would be broken by New Years and there wasn't a store to be found that offered the pieces his boys had requested. He quickly went to work and by Christmas morning had finished his first piece that eventually launched The Happy Toy Maker.

Jerry takes order from, you guessed it, Happy, TX, and devotes a great deal of time to handcrafting and personalizing (he can include a name, brand, etc.) orders that come through The Happy Toy Maker. Fast forward from humble beginnings with a cattle chute on that Christmas morning to today, and Jerry now makes everything from semi-trucks, rodeo bins, trailers, corrals and many other pieces that are as authentic of a miniature as possible.

Although The Happy Toy Maker has grown into a thriving niche business, Jerry still finds time to spend farming, serving on the Happy Volunteer Fire Department and raising his two boys who have outgrown their original cattle chute, but now help Jerry making toys in what has become a family business.

Orders for Christmas are welcome, but because the handcrafting does take some time to complete, it's best to place them as soon as possible to make sure those toys make it under your tree!
