D'Vine Wine
 | | Charlotte Lookingbill, D'Vine Wine |
The wine industry in the US is currently seeing a 15% growth rate and Charlotte and her business partner Shawnda Morrison jumped at the opportunity to open Amarillo's first wine boutique. D'Vine Wine is a franchise with locations in Texas and Colorado and offered everything that Charlotte and Shawnda knew they wanted for their new store in Amarillo. Located in Wolflin Village, Charlotte oversees the day-to-day operations.
The store recently underwent a stunning expansion and they now have a large bar and plenty of seating for anyone who wants to stop by and taste the many wines they keep. The expansion also offered the owners a chance to include a private room that can be booked for events like wedding showers, girls' night out and business meetings.
While the store is always open and welcomes anyone who wants to stop by and taste their various wines and relax at the bar or at a table with friends, they offer so much more! All of the wine is made on site and with a little notice, a wine party can be booked where your group can mix your own wine and return to bottle it. Charlotte can also do custom labeled wine that makes a wonderful gift for corporate or wedding events. For anyone looking for a place to get away on the weekends, there's always live music on Friday and Saturday nights!

Saving Family Lands
How much will your heirs have to pay the IRS in order to save the family farm or ranch? Due to rising land values, mineral appreciation and other factors, many landowners are not prepared for the successive ownership of the family farm or ranch----in spite of extensive estate planning.
Attend a Saving Family Lands seminar to learn how an agricultural conservation easement can help your family protect the farm or ranch while potentially saving millions in taxes. Led by Steve Small, nationally recognized expert and author of the IRS conservation easement tax code; this seminar is geared towards landowners and their advisors. Attendees will receive step-by-step instructions on how to file with the IRS, a copy of Mr. Small's book Preserving Family Land, advice on how to negotiate a conservation easement that works for you and your family, ample time for Q&A, and much more. This seminar is all the more timely due to tax incentives for conservation easements that expire at the end of the year: With the current $5 million exclusion that also expires in 2012, there has NEVER been a better time to save on estate taxes.
