Annual Report
by: Gina Woodward, WT SBDC

It's that time of the year again. No, I'm not talking about tornadoes and spring flowers, I'm talking about our annual report! Each year we survey our clients to find out what the past year has been like for them and what they think the year ahead holds.
We didn't break out the statistics manual to look at the results, they're just straightforward answers from real people in our area and some of the results may surprise you.
- Only 36.5% of respondents use social media to market their business
- 53% reported that sales in 2010 were up compared to 2009
- 42% plan to offer healthcare to their employees in 2011
- 75% believe that 2011 will be a better year than 2010
- Websites are the most popular means of marketing with 67% of respondents using a website to market their business
In 2010 we served 513 clients and helped them open 54 new businesses. Those businesses helped to create 237 new jobs!
You can read all of the results online and please leave your comments and thoughts for us.
