Luv Ur Hair
Libby Kelley

Libby Kelley opened Luv Ur Hair in June, 2010 in Amarillo. She had approached the SBDC for assistance after attending an Introduction to Business Ownership class and Rick Palmer was able to help her create a business plan, financing projections and look over her lease options. Libby's dream of giving modern haircuts, selling a variety of the hippest accessories and clothing in sizes small to 3XL and being able to provide a great working environment for the stylists who rent booth space at Luv Ur Hair went from an idea to a reality and she's very pleased with her new shop.

Libby has two additional both spaces remaining to rent to stylists looking for a new place to call home. She invites new clients as well as all of her former clients to stop by and pay them a visit at Luv Ur Hair where they're "Helping You Luv Ur Hair!"

You need financing for your small business, but where to start? The 2010 edition of the SBDC's Finding the Money booklet is a great place to start.

When most people think financing they think bank loans. That's the most typical route for small business financing and most banks offer commercial lending.

Some alternatives to bank loans include:

Angel Investors

Grants

Micro-Loan Programs

Government Loan Programs

This is only a small sample of what's available. To learn more, read Finding the Money online or stop by our office and pick up a copy.
