Success Story Unique Individuals

Carrie Lesley
Carrie approached the SBDC for assistance with her financial projections for Amarillo's first day care and after school program provider for children with special needs. She knew exactly what she wanted and it didn't take long to secure financing and construct a building worthy of the children she and her staff care for.
Unique Individuals is open from 6:30am to 6:30pm M-F and they care for children from 6 months to 14 years old.
With a Get Well Center, daily therapies and online monitoring for parents, there's no reason NOT to take your little on with special needs for a tour at Unique Individuals!

What Americans Really Want by: Rick Palmer, Business Consultant, WT SBDC
Every year, 600,000 people start a new business and more than 45 million Americans own and run their own businesses. In addition to these business people, 16 million Americans are self-employed and have no employees. Surveys show that 70% of all full-time employees have considered starting a new business. Frank Luntz's book, What Americans Really Want-Really, reports that his survey of Americans shows that 46% of those surveyed think that working for themselves is the safer path to security. Only 36% believe that working for an American corporation is more secure. The survey also shows that only one in three people know how to get help to start a new business.
Small Business Development Centers exist to foster responsible entrepreneurship. If you are one of those 70% who are thinking about spring and beginning a new business, come by first. We are here to help you succeed. |
