Roza Khashan

Roza Khashan

Roza recently opened Luigi's Pizzeria at the corner of 34th and Georgia.  Her specialty is pizza and calzones with freshly made yeast risen dough, but she also offers Mediterranean favorites like Gyros and a wide variety of tasty sandwiches.  Having relocated to Amarillo from Maine, where she operated a successful restaurant, Roza looks forward to serving the people of Amarillo with both dine in and take out.   The SBDC helped her with her business plan, projections and strategy.  We've also sampled her menu and it is delicious!

  Small Businesses Benefit
2008 Economic Stimulus Act
Depreciation Provisions

Businesses that have bought assets, or are planning to do so, in 2008 can benefit from the Economic Stimulus Act of 2008.  Section 179 depreciation limits have been increased from $128,000 to $250,000, and the phase out limit has been raised to $800,000.

The law also reinstates 50% special depreciation, also known as bonus depreciation, for much of the country.  This special depreciation entitles taxpayers to depreciate 50% of the cost or other basis during the year for an asset placed into service in 2008 and depreciates the remaining cost or basis over the asset's normal life.
