THANKS FOR THE HELP...
The 7th Annual Taste of Lakewood was a great success and would not have been possible without the support of our sponsors, contributors, restaurants and volunteers.
The event raised over $10,000 for the chamber and sold out in record time. Much of this can be attributed to the exposure we received from our sponsors, the media and the addition of the Taste of Lakewood website at www.tasteoflakewood.com.
In addition, the restaurants involved in this year's Taste of Lakewood really took it up a notch; providing ample portions and creative and delicious dishes with great presentation. The feedback we received from attendees regarding the food was overwhelmingly positive.
The Taste of Lakewood theme basket raffle was also very well received. Thank you to everyone who donated items to the raffle, especially our own Board of Directors, who donated all the wine for the tremendously popular Wine Cellar basket.
Thank you to our gracious host, The Clifton Club. Part of the great appeal of the Taste of Lakewood is the beautiful venue. The Clifton Club opens up its doors and its kitchen to the public every June to help celebrate one of Lakewood's best assets, our great food & restaurants. The event would not be the same without their partnership and help.
Finally, thank you to everyone who attended the 2010 Taste of Lakewood. Many of you return year after year and tell us this is the party that kicks off your summer. We appreciate the support and look forward to seeing you next year.
Have a Happy Fourth of July!

| June Meeting Recap
Annual Awards Luncheon |
Our June meeting is always a full house with the recognition of long term members, past presidents, our Business Person of the Year Award, our Outstanding New Member Award, and the swearing in of our new Board of Directors. This year was no exception.
We had over 50 chamber members recognized for their 5, 10 ,15, 20, 25...years of memberships. Bonne Bell and McGorray-Hanna Funeral Homes both celebrated their 80 year anniversary with the Chamber; and Malley's Chocolates, First Federal of Lakewood and Steve Barry Buick each celebrated 75 years of membership!
Eight of our Past Presidents were in attendance representing over 15 years of chamber leadership.
We recognized Diane Helbig of Seize This Day Coaching as our 2010 Outstanding New Member and Scott Duennes of Nature's Bin as our 2010 Business Person of the Year!
At the end of the luncheon, Judge Patrick Carroll (also recognized for his 20 years of membership) swore in our new Board of Directors for the 2010-11 fiscal year.
Thank you to Around the Corner and the Krivosh family for hosting us again this year and to Lakewood Hospital our corporate partner for sponsoring the meeting.

The Membership Task Force hosted a breakfast for all our 2009-2010 New Members on June 24th at Panera Bread (a new member themselves!) Public Forum for County Charter |

In 1813 Cuyahoga County formed a government. In 2009 the citizens decided to change it. And there is still a lot we need to discuss about it. Forming the old structure probably didn't include many ordinary citizens. Now the goal is different-get as much citizen input as possible.
That's why there are public forums and why they are so important. Because this time you can make a difference. THE NEXT PUBLIC FORUM Thursday, July 8, 2010 6 p.m. start-arrive as soon as you can Beck Center for the Arts 17801 Detroit Avenue, Lakewood 44107 http://www.beckcenter.org/ Workgroup presentation will be made by: County Government Collaboration Make a difference... take part in the transition process.
