Greetings!
News from Ceredigion, Wales
After lots of challenges we are now in our new home with lots of boxes still to unpack.
The move was not without its trauma, as whilst we arrived the furniture etc didn't! But the drums beat loudly in Wales and strangers turned up with bedding, cups and food supplies. Tears came to my eyes when one lady turned up with a pair of trainers and socks for me as the only footwear I had was a pair of flip-flops on a very wet night.
But our experience has taught us GRATITUDE. Sitting around a log fire in an empty house made us grateful for the warmth and the logs we had purchased in advance. The electricity was a bonus for it had not yet been transferred and when the strangers arrived it was just so unbelievable not only were we able to look forward to a good night's sleep but we also had access to a well deserved cup of tea and food.
It was several days before our furniture started to arrive and to be honest we were pleased that we had been able to rest before the long inevitable task of unpacking the boxes!
We had had to leave our family in Jersey packing up the container for we had run out of time, and indeed run out of room. The shipping Company had underestimated how much space we needed and a second container had to be ordered.
Each box opened was therefore one of surprise for we had no idea of what was inside - in haste no box had been labelled as to its contents and with every little space being used up each box contained all sorts of things.
We are eternally grateful for all the help and support we received in Jersey. If it wasn't for you, the students, clients, and friends of StarChild that supported us for so many years, we would never have been able to buy our new home and realise our dreams. It is sad that we were unable to do that in Jersey though but hopefully it will mean that you will all come and experience the wonderful energies and friendship that Wales has to offer when we get the retreat up and running.
We have 19 acres of flat land, with a river running through it and are surrounded by the lovely energies of the trees. Whilst we will of course make this into a self sufficient small holding, we are looking forward to refurbishing the old Welsh slate outbuildings into additional accommodation. Because this is Wales we will also have accommodation in the form of a modern static caravan. If you have seen these they are like little luxury houses (certainly not what I remembered a caravan to be!)
So lots of work to do and with the continuing support of the Universe we hope to open the StarChild Holistic Centre in Wales in the first quarter of 2010.
2010 will undoubtedly be a challenging year for everyone with the energies leading us to rethink our lives, and to work towards whatever it is that makes us happy, and brings joy into our lives.
We send blessings to you all that you may find that joy, peace and enlightenment in 2010.
