Feature Article - Being a Blessing!
During the summer months, many ministries and non profits experience a slow down in their giving. It is a great opportunity to choose to trust God for His provision or to trust our own capabilities. I've decided that during the time of slow down and possible belt-tightening and faith building, ministry leaders can choose to be a blessing. Here are three ways:
1. Make the choice. Just like our attitude, to be a blessing means that every day, we need to make a choice. Do we focus on ourselves, or we do focus on other people? Do I take a few moments to ask how one of my staff members is doing? It is a choice. In Colossians, Paul encourages us to "put on" characteristics such as kindness and gentleness - and if we choose to do this, we can indeed be a blessing to those around us. 2. Make it personal. For some team mates, we can be a blessing by encouraging them with a kind word. For some of our staff members, we can encourage them by publicly sharing their achievements in front of others. We need to know our staff members enough to know what is a blessing for each of them. If we don't know, ask!
3. Model Christ. In Scripture, we can read about a lot of examples where Christ focused being a blessing to others. We see Him minister to people when he must have been tired or hungry. We see his patience with his disciples when they weren't understanding his teaching. We read about his tenderness to those who were disenfranchised and unlovable. The best way we can be a blessing is to follow after our Lord who continues to be a blessing to us in countless ways! And we can bless God by modeling His Son!

Boundless Boosters for your Ministry
What do kangaroos and successful people have in common? Neither can go backwards. Sure we all have our moments, hours, even days when things seem to be going backwards - whether it is a rejection from one of our best customers, a communication misunderstanding that is causing havoc in our relationship, or a bad ministry decision. But we always have the choice to move forward.
Here is one "boundless booster" designed to leap you forward in your life and in this new year:
Be Expectant -Let's expect great things from our staff this summer! Let's expect great things from God! Let's live our lives with the excitement and anticipation that living a life of faith gives us! Our positive attitude and hope will speak volumes to our family, our friends, and our team members. 2 Corinthians 9:8 ESV And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.
