It's summer...ahhh.  My favorite time of year.  I love the sun and the laid back feeling of being outside.  I like to have meals and parties outside, to sit around a fire at night, to lie on the beach.  I also like the the feeling that summer is a time to catch up.  A time to read the books I dont have time for during the year, I like to see friends I havent seen for a while, and to spend time with my family.  I love the illusion of time slowing down in the heat of the summer months.  I also wonder how much writing I'll really get done with all of this relaxing I'm planning.  And I also know I am seeing lots of couples for Intensives this summer - those focused times when we work hard to turn around an issue or a relationship in a few hours or a few days of deep and loving work.  So maybe summer is really a time of shifts - shifting from one place to the next without having to run to get there. Maybe summer is a time to float to the next place.  To sweat out the old toxic beliefs and come into a new brigher understanding.  I think I am going to let this summer be a time of awakening.  A waking up to the hope that the sun brings. 

Oh, yeah, and maybe I'll get to the beach, too.
