Victory in Washington, D.C.
Freedom to Pray Outside of Planned Parenthood Reestablished
by Hannah Buckett

A Time to Stand

Our founding fathers came to America seeking freedom to worship freely without governmental interference.  They fought to ensure their children's and grand-children's freedom to worship God in the way they pleased without the government's control.  Because of the brave men who fought for our country, nearly 250 years later, we Americans reap the fruit of their labor and sacrifice.  We live in a country where free speech is celebrated and where freedom of religion is offered to all.

A Time to Stand1

Ironically, on June 8, 2010 Reverend Patrick Mahoney was arrested in Washington, D.C. for praying on a public sidewalk.  This was not just any sidewalk; it was the sidewalk in front of Planned Parenthood, the biggest abortion provider in America.

A Time to Stand 3

I first heard of this at Survivors camp in late June.  When I heard that I could be arrested in my nation's capital for praying in front of Planned Parenthood I was shocked.  Whenever I sidewalk counsel, praying is the first thing I do!  I know the power of prayer and the need for it.   Our fight is a hard fight.    Abortion clinics are a stronghold of the devil and it is only by God's intervention that any woman will change her mind to give life to her child.

Calling All Young People!  Missionaries Needed for Survivors'
Campus Life Tour Fall 2010

How to be a full-time pro-life missionary
AND a full-time college student

Campus Life Tours is almost done recruiting for Fall 2010!  We need 2 more passionate young people who are committed to pro-life work.  Campus Life Tours has made really big changes to the program.  The tour this Fall will be completely different from anything Survivors has ever done before.  Campus Life Tours will now be an opportunity for young people to be full-time missionaries AND full-time college students.

We have worked with our newest missionaries to allow them to take full-time online coursework WHILE serving with Survivors.  We are working closely with each Campus Life Tours missionary to coordinate classes that will help them reach their individual educational and career goals.  Missionaries will be able to register through online classes on their own, or with other missionaries on the Campus Life Tours team.  We are suggesting classes through the California Community College system that will transfer into the California State and University of California systems, two of the best university systems in the world.

Additionally, Campus Life Tours will have unique outreach and training in Ensenada, Mexico.  Missionaries will be traveling to orphanages in Baja California to feed the children and minister to their impoverished communities.  Missionaries will be staying in Survivors' NEW missionary bunkhouse on the beach while training for Fall outreaches at colleges and high schools throughout the West Coast.

Any young people called to serve with Survivors in the Fall should contact Kristina at campus@survivors.la, or apply online at http://survivors.la/campus-life-tours.asp.  There are only 2 spots left on the team.  We are almost full, so hurry and apply now!

Mission Statement

Compelled by the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ and our respect for life, the Survivors of the Abortion Holocaust speak out on behalf of over 50,000,000 children lost to abortion in America since 1973.  Dedicated to defending the right to life of future generations, we are engaged in a battle to end America's genocide. We recognize the urgency of this war, as over 3,000 children die each day in the United States because of abortion.

The Survivors encourage and empower the youth of today as they dare to rise up against the slaughter of innocent children through abortion. We are committed to educating and equipping young activists who have a heart for the pre-born and are willing to be used by God to "Defend those unjustly sentenced to death." (Proverbs 24:11)
