Climbing Team
We're excited to announce Andy Cutler as our new Climbing Team Coach! Andy, 22, started climbing in 2006 and has a B.S. from Radford University in Exercise, Sport, and Health Education with a Sports Medicine Concentration. 
A note from Andy:
"With the fall bouldering season just around the corner, we will be shifting our focus towards power endurance. Although we will continue to climb on routes (roped climbs), we will also spend time in the bouldering cave. There we will practice shorter, more powerful climbs, rather than sustained endurance climbing. The cave is also a great place for climbing workouts as well as sport-specific training (hangboard, campus board, etc.!)"

 Junior Team
Hannah Gormanlove is our new Head Coach for Junior Team. A senior at VCU, Hannah's studying Creative Advertising and Sociology. As Site Director of Passage's Base Camp, she loved working with kids. Prior to Passages, she worked as a Special Visitor for Hanover Parks and Recreation, traveling to all of their locations teaching the kids Zumba and Origami. Hannah also started Kid Create, an arts and crafts camp in Hanover. As the eldest of four girls, she strives to be a good role model and mentor. She wants to bring high energy and lots of laughter to Junior Team, while creating a sense of community for like minded kids. Please join us in welcoming Hannah.

Play Boating at The New River Gorge 3:00 Passages Adventure Camp's Jude Abney, Max Baron, Corinne  Bowers, Custis Coleman, Selina Horsely, James Kitches, Josh Raine and Michael Stratton tear it up during River Week! Amateur Rock Climber Completes 7.5' Dyno 1:08 Kyle Owen (non professional) completes an impressive 7.5'  campus dyno problem at his home bouldering gym. Pretty cool! Chris Sharma Climbs Local Crags 6:26 Chris Sharma takes a trip to the east coast, where he climbs at  our regional crags: The New River Gorge and Red River Gorge. Chris sends classics such as Lucifer (5.14c) and onsights Proper Soul (5.14a), a NRG route that Andrew Palmer (Peak Pro Team Coach) was able to successfully complete earlier this year. |
