The Target Contest is Over!
Operation Gratitude wins $232,948!! |
Operation Gratitude will receive $232,948 from Target as part of the company's first-ever Bullseye Gives campaign on FacebookŪ. From May 10 through May 25, Operation Gratitude's Facebook "fans",  volunteers, donors and supporters joined forces to cast 22,627 votes, earning 7.8% of a $3 million charitable donation pledged by Target. Your votes guarantee that 21,000 additional Care Packages will be sent to the brave men and women on the front lines! | |
In response to the humorous email announcements, 'word of mouth' messages, and extensive Facebook postings, scores of Operation Gratitude supporters, family and friends signed in daily to express appreciation to our Military by voting and posting messages on the Target Wall.
With 291,399 total votes cast, Target will donate a portion of $3 million to each of 10 charities based on their percentage of votes received. For the full list of Results,  please log in to Target Bullseye Gives on Facebook.

| p.s. My apologies for the onslaught of emails during the Contest--they were sent solely as reminders to help our cause. We will now return to our normal schedule...whatever that is! :)
p.p.s. The final weekend of the 2009 Patriotic Drive will take place June 13-14 from 9am to 4pm daily at the National Guard Armory in Van Nuys, California. Volunteers (12 years and older), letters and financial donations are welcome.
Operation Gratitude's Annual Holiday Drive will kick-off in late October. We will assemble and ship the 500,000th care package in December. More details this summer!
