Prepare to Vote--for Operation Gratitude

Operation Gratitude now has its own Profile Page on Facebook, the social-networking site: Operation Gratitude Fan Page!

Facebook offers many new and exciting ways to connect with other supporters, and to raise awareness and funds for Operation Gratitude. But to take full advantage of the Facebook opportunities, we need all Operation Gratitude supporters, your friends, family, and colleagues to become "Fans" of Operation Gratitude on Facebook now. This takes just a few clicks--the directions are listed step by step below.

It really is simple (even if it seems a little confusing at first)---and you can make a huge difference to Operation Gratitude every time you vote in a Facebook campaign.

Here's how to become an Operation Gratitude Fan:

2. If you are already a member of Facebook, you will be prompted to log-in. Once logged in, click on the "Become a Fan" link directly below the Operation Gratitude logo.

3. If you are not yet a member of Facebook:

a. Click on the green sign-up button in the upper left corner and complete the sign up form with your name, email address,** a birthdate and secret password.

b. Once your account is created, click again on Operation Gratitude Fan Page or copy and paste this address into your browser: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Van-Nuys-CA/Operation-Gratitude/54680847349?ref=ts

c. Click on the "Become a Fan" link directly below the Operation Gratitude logo.
**Facebook only allows one member per email address. In order for every person in your household to be able to vote for Operation Gratitude during Facebook campaigns, each person needs their own email address and then their own Facebook account. Multiple email addresses are free through providers such as AOL, Yahoo, Gmail.

4. Now that you are a "Fan of Operation Gratitude", you can invite all your Facebook Friends to become Fans too:

a. Click on the "Suggest to Friends" link below the Operation Gratitude logo. If you do not see it, click on the "More" links and the menu will open up--to display the "Suggest to Friends" link.

b. A box will appear that says: "Select friends of yours who would like to know about Operation Gratitude." Click on the icons for each of your friends.
c. Then click "Send Invitations" at the bottom of the box. Your friends will receive an invitation and can then "Become a Fan."

5. Now you are all ready to support Operation Gratitude for any Facebook campaign. Please forward this email to everyone you know and encourage them to get ready too!

This really is simple---and you will personally have a huge impact on Operation Gratitude this year. Any time there is a Facebook Campaign to support Operation Gratitude, you will be able to vote.
