"This Dodge Caliber is yours," announced the first
document he removed from the package after knifing
it open in front of his fellow Marines.
"I was not expecting that whatsoever," said the 19-
year-old M-2 .50 caliber gunner from St. Louis. "It
was actually a car!"
"Don't lose it," one of the Marines said.

2006 Holiday Drive Surpasses Goals and Records!
The Operation Gratitude volunteers finished the 2006
Holiday Drive by sending 56,305 care packages
as of December 30th. They assembled an
additional 1500 packages that they expect to send in
January and February, as they receive additional
requests.
"This brings our overall tally of packages sent to
209,463 since we started in March of 2003,
exclaimed
Charlie Othold, Director of Operations. "We will have
no problem hitting the quarter-millionth mark during
our Patriotic Drive in the Spring!"
Stay Tuned for News About Our 2007 Activities
Our plans for 2007 are ambitious and exciting. We
hope to move into our own facility and we will again
host two drives: The Patriotic Drive in May-June
(during which we will send our Quarter-Millionth
package!) and the Holiday Drive in November-
December. Our goal is to send at least 50,000 care
packages during each campaign. We hope you will
continue to support our efforts to ensure that more
and more service members receive our expressions of
gratitude for their service to our country.
