Something Missing by Matthew Dicks
This quirky book just grows on you. Martin,an OCD coffee barista (he works for the health insurance) spends the rest of his time breaking into people's homes taking things they will never miss.
His system is outrageous and totally believable. The details of his ritual's will amaze you. I found Martin funny and fascinating and ultimately very sweet and likable.

The Legend of Colton H. Bryant by Alexandra Fuller
Fuller shows great respect for the subjects of her story in this simple, yet emotional book. She is able to get the reader very much into the lives of Colton and those around him yet she is able to do so without thrusting herself into the story. She lets the story tell itself in such a simple yet beautiful way..

The Sartorialist by Scott Schuman
My favorite website becomes my favorite new grown-up picture book! Photographer and tireless people watcher Scott Schuman believes fashion isn't made on the runway, but on the street. He travels the world in search of anonymous fashionistas of every gender, age, body type and ethnicity. More fun than any magazine or cable tv show.

When You Reach Me by Rebecca Stead
Cunning, clever, and DEEPLY satisfying, this is a puzzle of a story, peopled with engaging characters and riddled with clues that *might* help you unravel its mysteries. So, so wonderful!!

James The No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency by Alexander McCall Smith The Interpretation of Murder by Jed Rubenfeld Interred With Their Bones by Jennifer Lee Carrell

- even *more* back to school!
I know, this was last newsletters feature. BUT we just got in these unbelievably charming frog toasters and flower-covered mini-fridge. A must for every dorm room. Or, if I actually had any room on my desk, I would love to have cold drinks at arms reach.
Another cool item to keep your drinks at hand are these stainless steel water bottles with colorful rubber grip and d-ring to clip on your backpack. There are many different designs for both boys and girls so stock up!
Yes, that is a giant blue clothespin at the bottom of the picture. I am still coming up with ideas on how I could use it...

August must be puppy month! Our featured puppy this week is Charlie, a 6 month-old Golden-Doodle who has already charmed all of the booksellers. He is Barry's good buddy and when I showed Margaret this cute picture she asked, "Is that Charlie? He was here yesterday!" Looks like we have a regular customer.
