With less than six weeks to the end of the year, are you ready to close off 2010 with a bang!? As an owner/operator of 15 health clubs (mixed and ladies only), November and December were generally seen as slower months for new members (particularly in the ladies only clubs). Every club was different so what worked for some didn't always work for others, but here are a few tips to consider: -
- Focus on the right type of communication with your existing members both in and out of the club and try to make it personal whenever you can
- Advertise your friend referral program NOW for the New Year and offer extra incentives for members who introduce early bird sign-ups
- Offer individual and team (shift) bonuses for achieving targets up to the end of the year
- Get out and about in the community - spread the word and create hype about your club how it makes a difference to so many people's life's.
- Create a real feeling of fun and excitement in the club in the run up to the New Year - make a big deal about festive celebrations and throw a great member and staff Christmas party .
