Texas Indigent Defense Discretionary Grant Program
This grant program provides funding to encourage counties in the State of Texas to develop new and innovative programs that provide improvements to indigent defense services. Priorities include: specialized mental health, juvenile indignant defense services, programs that serve rural areas, programs that measure the quality of representation for indigent defendants or online indigent management systems.

FY 2013 JAG Criminal Justice Program (Texas) This purpose of the program is to reduce crime and improve the criminal justice system. Eligibility Requirements include:
- Projects must focus on reducing crime and improving the criminal justice system
- Must include law enforcement, corrections or the judicial system
- The county or (counties) must have an overall 90% average on reporting adult criminal history dispositions to the Texas Department of Public Safety for 2006 - 2010
- Applicant must have a DUNS number and be registered with Central Contractor Registration(www.ccr.gov)
