You've been hearing about the PRism Awards for the past few months, and I'm thrilled to share that we have quite a show in the works that should not be missed.
Our show producers and video editors are hard at work creating new multimedia elements to bring the accomplishments of our award-winning colleagues to life on November 9.
Send a PR Student to the Awards...
We also have many local PRSSA members who want to attend the PRism Awards and network with you -- the PR leaders here in LA. To help them out, we are recruiting chapter members to sponsor discount student dinner tickets.
So far, more than 25 students have expressed an interest in attending the show, 10 of whom have been selected to serve as on-site volunteers.
Will you please join me in sponsoring a student ticket? Please call Mindy Gail at (818) 582-3233 or email mindy@prsala.org to help a student out. PRSSA is the future of PR in Los Angeles, so please place your call today.
Respectfully, Brian O'Connor, PRSA-LA President brian@prsala.org |

Tellem Worldwide Relaunches as Tellem Grody Public Relations; New Name Recalls Firm's Leadership History
Tellem Worldwide, a PR social media and marketing agency, has changed its name to Tellem Grody Public Relations (TGPR). The new name reflects partner Dan Grody's nine-year contribution to the firm's continuing business growth. In an interesting twist, the new name also nearly mirrors the name of a related firm founded 31 years ago. Grody Tellem Communications (GTC) was founded in 1980 by Susan Tellem and the late Mark Grody, father of TGPR partners Dan Grody and John Tellem. The family photo below shows a young Dan Grody learning the ropes with Susan Tellem during GTC's early years.
