PRSA-OC Presents
"Enchantment: The Art of Changing Hearts, Minds & Actions"
Guy Kawasaki on Gaining Influence in the Digital Age
Thursday, July 14 2011
5:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
The Hotel Hanford, Costa Mesa CA
Guy Kawasaki -- high profile entrepreneur, venture capitalist, management guru, best-selling author and blogger -- has been a powerful force in business and technology since helping launch the Apple Macintosh in 1984. His most recent book, " Enchantment," addresses the issues of influence and persuasion and has been called a " How to Win Friends and Influence People" for the Twitter generation. According to Kawasaki, enchantment can be more powerful than traditional persuasion, influence, or marketing. He says the ultimate goal is not merely to attain one's immediate objective but to engender a voluntary, enduring, and delightful change in other people. This presentation will not only offer insights from one of today's most innovative thinkers and marketers, but will also provide practical advice for using his techniques yourself. Guy Kawasaki is the former chief evangelist of Apple. He is also the cofounder of Alltop.com (an online magazine rack of popular topics on the Web) and a founding partner at investment fund Garage Technology Ventures. His nine previous books include the international bestseller " The Art of the Start," as well as " Reality Check," " Rules for Revolutionaries," " How to Drive Your Competition Crazy," " Selling the Dream," and " The Macintosh Way." He earned a bachelor's degree from Stanford University and a master's degree in business administration from the University of California, Los Angeles. PRSA-LA members are eligible to attend at the PRSA-OC member rate. Please visit the event page on the PRSA-LA Web site for more information and to register.
