Greetings!
Eric Moses | It's that time of year to start thinking about PRSA-LA's PRisms Awards. We will be sending out our Call for Entries in early June and we encourage everyone to get a head start on putting together submissions.
We had one of our most competitive years ever in 2009, and the banquet at the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel attracted a huge turnout. The event was such a success that we're challenging ourselves further this year to put on an awards show worthy of the entertainment capital of the world. You can read more about our plans in the newsletter below.
In May, we hope you'll also join us for our chapter meeting at the new LAPD headquarters for a conversation with Los Angeles Police Chief Charlie Beck. While the chief's focus is on public safety, public relations is a very important part of his job. We're looking forward to hearing about his communications goals, plans and policies.
