It's Time to Take a Break!
Palm Trees On Beach
It is summer, and time for vacations. As this issue is being sent, my family is packing our bags for our vacation.
God knows, I need time away.  We all need time away!

One of my good industry friends, Rod Brown takes off two months in the summer to spend time with his family.  What...you might think that's crazy!  Rod is the principal of a Top 50 promotional products company.   At this point, he is about 3 weeks into his time away.  I so respect his decision to do this.  It comes with a price, but it is also a clear indication of his values and underscores of what is really important in life.

While I would love to take that kind of time off, at this point, it's not possible. But I do enjoy our traditional week vacation.  The point here is to take a break! If you do...you will actually be more productive.

In this issue we feature a great article with 5 Tips to Avoid BurnoutAs a confessed workaholic, I found the Tips below to be good practical things that we all can benefit from. (Even if we can't take an extended vacation.)

I'll still be working on some business affairs during the week, but it will be from a beautiful location.  Truth be told, I kind of like to work...but I'll be enjoying Kona coffee and an ocean view.  It's going to be great!  Throughout the trip, I will post some of our adventures on our Facebook Fan Page.  If you are interested, I invite you to become a fan.  Our Facebook Fans receive additional content and are the first to know when we post new things on the site.

"5 Ways to Beat Burnout"
By Alexandria Brown

Frustrated ManJuggling a million projects at once, burning the midnight oil, and traveling nonstop may sound like roads to success. But they're also a recipe for burnout.  Once you reach that point, it can be difficult to pull yourself out of a funk.

Your health and productivity will suffer, and you'll find it tougher to get jazzed about going to work or coming up with creative ways to market your business. Here are five ways to beat burnout - before it beats you down.

1. Just say no.   Make a list of your top five business and personal goals, then turn down any requests that won't help you achieve those goals. Staying focused on a few important goals, rather than trying to be all things to all people, is the best way to be effective.
