Have We Offended You?

 Several weeks ago, I received an e-mail from a prominent industry figure questioning why a certain distributor company was not featured on a new section of FreePromoTips.com which had yet to be formally launched.
We have dubbed this section, "Looking for a New Direction." This is simply a page that enables someone to get a snapshot of distributor organizations who would love to have quality salespeople join their team. It's my personal belief that being a part of a larger organization definitely has its benefits, but it may not be the right choice for everyone. If you are considering looking for a new direction, I suggest that you evaluate all the options available and make the choice that best fits your own personal situation.
I spent a significant amount of time responding to several statements this person made, including suggesting that I am a "loose cannon." It seems that his comments were triggered because the company he is now consulting for is not listed on this page.
If the quality of this distributors program is so strong, and the point was that this company should be featured on this page, why not stress the benefits of why they should be there as opposed to attacking me for not listing them? Recruiting is key growth strategy for every distributor company...and that's fine. Our goal with this page is to provide a convenient place where those who are "looking for a new direction" can have a starting point.
When he contacted me, this person brought up something else I did he found offensive. This got me thinking about a few things we have done through the years, that a small number of people found distasteful. See below for more on some things we have done that a few people were offended by and your opportunity to comment. Have we offended you?

What was so distasteful you might ask? Well...you may be surprised to learn, it's the kid on a cheese grater slide picture we featured a couple of years ago. If you missed this piece, click here.
