EDUCATION IS CRITICAL TO SUCCESS!

Kid in Class

It's graduation season and many will accomplish significant milestones in their lives.

My son is graduating from junior high.  It's great to see him accomplish one of the many achievements in his young life.

As an old guy, sometimes it's hard to connect with the idea of continuing education.  My wife tells me I need to keep stretching my mind, so it doesn't get stagnant.  She's right...of course...as always.

Taking my wife's direction, I diligently pursued my Master Advertising Specialist (MAS) designation and am pleased to have accomplished that goal.  It's been debated whether these industry "degrees" have any tangible value.  Some feel that a Certified Advertising Specialist (CAS) or an MAS designation may mean nothing to your clients and that might be true, but it should mean everything to you...and your ability to better serve your clients.

The graduation season gives us the opportunity to share one of our most popular business articles.  Steve Jobs from Apple and Pixar, two "moderately" successful companies, offered a stirring commencement address to the graduating class at Stanford University a few years ago.  We are pleased to offer it to you in words and in video. See below.

Keeping with with our education theme, We would like to draw your attention to a new PromoTips feature "Deep Thoughts with Industry Leaders."  In this issue, we are pleased to feature Steve Slagle, CEO of the Promotional Products Association International (PPAI).  You need to be aware of what's happening and what PPAI is doing to address the impending threats to our industry. Check out PPAI LAW.

Happy business building!

StoneMass
SnugZ USA, a veteran in the promotional products industry, announces a new partnership with StoneMass, an online marketing company to offer Distributors a SnugZ USA tab on their Facebook Fan Page.  Distributors can link directly to SnugZ' online catalog, specials, and promotions.

"We are really looking forward to the potential this partnership has!  We have been heavily involved with social media for almost two years and not only understand the power of social media, but how to use it.  StoneMass has figured out a way to help Distributors create a Facebook Fan Page that actually generates sales instead of just posts.
Big things are headed our way, Distributors should really take notice of what StoneMass has to offer!" states Charley Johnson, Vice President of SnugZ USA.

This is exciting news for SnugZ customers and the Distributors currently enrolled in the SMpublisher program" states Michael Senger, CEO of StoneMass.
For Distributors who have a Facebook Fan Page, StoneMass will help you get started. Please visit www.stonemass.com.

9/11 Tribute Image
Drawing from 3 stories about his life, Steve Jobs delivered a moving commencement address to Stanford's 2005 graduating class:

"I am honored to be with you today at your commencement from one of the finest universities in the world. I never graduated from college. Truth be told, this is the closest I've ever gotten to a college graduation. Today I want to tell you three stories from my life. That's it. No big deal. Just three stories."  The first story is about connecting the dots.
