This PromoTip is dedicated to reflecting on what happened eight years ago on this day. We also offer a few of non-business stories you may find interesting.  Feel free to pass them on.

There have been many memorable days in history but some of them we'd rather forget. September 11th, 2001 is one of those. It isn't a day to celebrate, but it is a day we shouldn't forget either.

While the feedback has been very positive to our September 11th PromoTip issues, through the years a few people felt we were exploiting the tragedy, which is odd, since we purposely do not include our normal supplier specials or business building PromoTips.

For those new to PromoTips, our next PromoTip will feature our traditional business commentary.

On the left are links to resources in remembrance of 9-11 and below is a profound story from past PPAI Chairman, Paul Kiewiet. We believe you will find it compelling and an inspiration to the value of what we do in our industry.

If you would like to comment on this issue, please post them at the bottom of Paul's story

What Would You Do?

Paul KiewietOn September 11, 2001 America was changed forever.  Most of you will recall where you were when the shocking news of these terrorist attacks occurred.  2007  PPAI Chairman, Paul Kiewiet, MAS was preparing to start his annual Golf Odyssey and End User Show.

Paul was presenting to a group of about 100 clients and some suppliers during a "Power Breakfast."  As he was nearing his conclusion, Paul received the tragic news of what had happened that morning. Paul turned on the big screen TV at the back of the auditorium as the group witnessed the first tower burning and moments later the second attack.

What would you do? Years ago, Paul shared this story and the following comment's he received in response to the decision made to continue on with the day.
