The artwork of Ashley Renee Kennedy
"I mainly draw in dry mediums but will use ink
and
some paint at times. My pieces typically are trying to
say something to the viewer. They are not just pretty
pictures but are made to make you interested and
even think. I like to work with both color and black
and
white. Lately I have been developing a style to
incorporate both, simultaneously. Also some of my
less realistic pieces have a much more graphic style.
I
do this to make it edgy and emphasize the subject
matter as seen in my robotic pieces. Also the title of
the pieces is a key part of the work. I chose each title
specifically for the piece and every word is a part of
the
whole thing."
