Introducing The Tailhook Model Collection
One the the most exciting moments on any aircraft carrier is the landing of planes and jets as they capture the arresting wire to land. SD Model Makers is now offering a truly unique naval aviation model presentation - a display featuring the aircraft landing on the flight deck using it's tailhook to engage the arresting gear wires.
ANY Carrier Aircraft is available - Plane, Jet or Helicopter.
Customize your model with:
- Any Paint Scheme - add graphics, ship name, kill marks, plane numbers, etc.
- Each model includes a 1" x 4" inscription plate, with room for up to four lines of text.
- Add our optional 2.5" diameter etched brass logo to include your ship, squadron or carrier group logo
Every 1/48-scale handcrafted model aircraft comes fully assembled, along with a 12" x 15" simulated carrier deck base board. The aircraft is easily installed by the customer within seconds. Each aircraft is hand carved from kiln-dried mahogany and painted with absolute attention to detail and then sealed to last generations to come.
Tailhook Models are only made-to-order, typically with a 10-12 week delivery time.
Full payment of $399 plus $25 for Shipping and Handling is required with confirmation of the order.
